Listen!

Humpback Bubble Net Feeding

Bubble Net Feeding has been documented for the first time in the Central Gulf Coast of Alaska! Several of the individuals have been identified inSE Alaska, where bubble net feeding is often documented, but none of the individuals have been seen doing it there. One individual is an offspring of a known bubble net feeder!

Humpback Bubble Net

Bubble Net Feeding took place in Day Harbor for 7 days straight (mid July 2010), again for 3 days in mid June, 2011, and June 25, 2011. Also, many reports of Cooperative Lunge Feeding up and down the coast, that could have been Bubble Net Feeding also.
